Ingredients:

For the Meatballs

1 lb ground beef

1 lb ground pork

1 cup North Coast Apple Sauce

2 large eggs

1 cup breadcrumbs

2 shallots, grated

3 cloves garlic, grated

1 ½ teaspoons Worcestershire sauce

2 teaspoons Dijon mustard

1 ½ teaspoons salt

1 teaspoon cayenne pepper

For the Sauce

1/4 cup brown sugar

1/2 cup ketchup

2 Tablespoons North Coast Apple Cider Vinegar

2 Tablespoons water

2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce

1 Tablespoon shallot, grated

1 clove garlic, grated

Salt and pepper to taste

Directions:

Set rack in the center of oven and preheat to 325° F. Place a baking rack in a large pan or cookie sheet and spray generously with a non-stick spray. Set aside.

In a large bowl, mix the ground beef and pork with a large fork until thoroughly combined. In a small bowl beat the eggs with the apple sauce until smooth and frothy. Pour over the meat mixture and blend until smooth. Add the breadcrumbs, shallot, and garlic. Mix well. Add the remaining four ingredients until combined.

Using a teaspoon, form and roll tiny meatballs placing them on the greased rack as you go. Place in oven and bake for 22 minutes or until cooked through.

While the meatballs are baking, add all sauce ingredients to a medium sized pan and simmer on medium-low heat for about ten minutes.

Place meatballs in desired serving dish and pour sauce over the top. Stir gently until all meatballs are evenly coated. Serve warm.
