Ingredients:

2 ripe bananas, mashed

3/4 cup North Coast Organic Apple Sauce

3/4 cup granulated sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 egg

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 cup Dutch process cocoa powder

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 tsp baking soda

1 cup dark chocolate chips

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350° F and grease a 9×9 baking pan.

In a mixing bowl, mash bananas until smooth. Add apple sauce, sugar, vanilla, and egg and whisk until well combined.

In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking soda.

Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients and stir until just combined. Using a spatula, fold in chocolate chips.

Pour batter into baking pan and bake for 35 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool before slicing.
