Days getting shorter and weather getting colder means it’s time to layer up and get baking! The fresh taste of apple sauce combined with the right combination of fall spices help make this easy-peasy apple spice bread recipe one to hold on to for good.

Ingredients:

1 cup North Coast Organic Apple Sauce

1/3 cup sugar

1/2 cup vegetable oil

2 eggs

1/4 cup milk

2 cups flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1 teaspoon ground nutmeg

1/2 teaspoon ground ginger

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup walnut pieces

Directions:

Preheat the oven to 350° F. Lightly grease a 9″x 5″ inch loaf pan.

Add the apple sauce, sugar, oil, eggs and milk to a large bowl and combine well using an electric hand mixer.

In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, baking powder and salt. Slowly add the dry ingredients into the bowl with the wet ingredients, continuously mixing as you go.

Once the batter is smooth and incorporated, fold the walnut pieces into the batter. Pour the batter into the greased loaf pan and bake for 50-60 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
