Trail Mix Recipe

Well, it's actually a peanut butter and apple sauce granola recipe but we took it one step further, combining the granola with our favorite nuts and toppings. You can do the same, personalizing it with your favs and must haves, to create your own special snack. It's no wonder snacking with trail mix has been a thing for more than a century!

Ingredients

  • 3 cups Rolled Oats
  • 3 Tablespoons Maple Syrup
  • ½ cup North Coast Organic Apple Sauce
  • 2 Tablespoons Coconut Oil melted
  • ¼ cup Smooth Peanut Butter
  • ¼ teaspoon Salt
  • â…› teaspoon Cinnamon

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Whisk together the maple syrup, apple sauce, coconut oil, peanut butter, salt, and cinnamon.
  • Pour the wet ingredients over the oats and mix until thoroughly moistened.
  • Spread the oats evenly on the baking sheet. Bake for 50 minutes, turning every 15 minutes or so to prevent scorching, until golden brown.
  • Let sit until completely cooled to room temperature. Store in an airtight container.
