Chocolate APPLESAUCE Bundt Cake Recipe
How do you take a decadent, mouthwatering, ooey-gooey chocolate cake and make it even better? Why you add APPLESAUCE of course! Sneaking in a bit of nutrition only adds to the moist deliciousness of this cake. And the chocolate glaze made with a splash of apple juice didn’t hurt either!

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 2 cups flour
- 2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 cups North Coast APPLESAUCE
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 2 tsp vanilla
For the glaze
- 5 Tbsp butter
- 6 Tbsp cocoa powder
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 Tbsp North Coast Apple Juice or Cider hot
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°.
- In a large bowl, sift together the sugar, flour, baking soda, cocoa, cinnamon, and salt.
- Add APPLESAUCE, vegetable oil and vanilla and mix well to combine.
- Pour into a greased and floured Bundt pan and bake for 50 minutes or until a knife comes out clean.
- Remove from oven and allow to cool while you make the glaze.
For the glaze
- In a small saucepan, melt butter and cocoa powder over low heat, stirring until well combined.
- Remove from heat and stir in powdered sugar.
- Add vanilla and the hot apple juice or cider and stir until the glaze is smooth.
- Pour over a cooled cake and ENJOY!
