Cinnamon streusel atop anything makes for a delicious treat and this moist and delicate apple sauce streusel loaf cake will not disappoint. Made with North Coast apple sauce and sour cream giving it a rich appley fresh taste you will want to savor forever.

Cake Ingredients:

1 1/2 cup all-purpose flour

3/4 cup sugar

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 tablespoon cinnamon

1/2 cup melted butter

3/4 cup North Coast apple sauce

1/4 cup sour cream

1 egg

1 teaspoon vanilla

Streusel Ingredients:

1/4 cup all-purpose flour

1/4 cup sugar

1/4 cup brown sugar

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

5 tablespoons frozen butter, cut into small pieces

1/2 cup toasted walnuts

Directions:

Preheat the oven to 350°. Spray a loaf pan with cooking spray. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking soda, and cinnamon. In a separate bowl, mix together the melted butter, apple sauce, sour cream, vanilla, and egg until thoroughly combined. Fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients, making sure not to over mix. Pour into prepared loaf pan. For the streusel, combine the flour, sugars, and cinnamon together in a bowl. Use a pastry blender to cut the frozen butter into the dry ingredients until it resembles small peas. Stir in the nuts and then sprinkle mixture over the top of the cake using a knife to swirl some streusel goodness into the batter and around the edges. Bake for 50-55 minutes or until a knife comes out clean.
