Apple Crisp Recipe

Ingredients
- 12 apples peeled, cored, and sliced
- 3 Tablespoons granulated sugar
- 2 Tablespoons ground cinnamon divided
- Juice from 1 lemon
- 2 cups brown sugar
- 1.5 cups old fashioned oats
- 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup butter chilled and diced
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350ยฐ.
- Butter and flour an 8โx16โ baking dish and set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine sliced apples, granulated sugar, 1 Tablespoon of the cinnamon, and lemon juice and mix well.
- Transfer to prepared baking dish and distribute evenly.
- In a separate mixing bowl, add the brown sugar, oats, flour, 1 Tablespoon cinnamon, salt, and butter.
- Using a pastry blender, cut the butter into the oat mixture, until it resembles pea-sized crumbs.
- Spread topping over the apples and gently pat to even it out.
- Use a knife to cut some of the crumple down to the bottom of the dish.
- Bake 40-50 minutes, until golden brown and bubbly.
- Serve warm drizzled with North Coast Apple Syrup (recipe can be found here) and vanilla bean ice-cream. ENJOY!
